We have been following the regulations and advice of the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Oman Ministry of Health for this pandemic. We are adding stringent protocols, strategic application, and supporting innovation to the best health and safety standards in our operations.

1. ENTRY REGULATIONS FROM THE SUPREME COMMITTEE DEALING WITH COVID-19

UPDATE: 24th August 2021

Based on the statement made by the Supreme Committee for dealing  with  (COVID-19)  issued  on  I9th  August  2021,  and in  coordination  with  the  Medical  Response  and  Public  Health Sectors,  and  the  Royal  Oman  Police, the following has been decided:

  • The list of countries from which arrivals arc prohibited from entering the territory of the  Sultanate has been terminated.
  • All Omani citizens,  residents of  Oman,  visa holders of Oman, those who do not require a visa to travel to Oman, and those who can obtain a visa upon arrival are allowed to enter the  Sultanate in accordance with the pre-COVID system.
  • All passengers arriving at the  Sultanate are required to present a  COVID-19  vaccine certificate containing a  QR Code stating that they have received two doses of a vaccine approved in  Oman,  or in cases where a  single dose is approved by the  Health  Authorities of the Suhanatc.  have received one dose of such    The last dose is required to have been received not less than fourteen (14) days ahead of estimated arrival time. the ministry of Health publishes and updates the list of vaccines approved in Oman,
  • All passengers arriving at the Sultanate that present a pre­ travel negative result  COVID-19  PCR  test are exempted from quarantine,  The  COV1D-19  PCR  test shall indicate the medical test result which can be validated and certified with a QR Code and the test shall be conducted within ninety-six  (96)  hours prior to the scheduled time of arrival in the  Sultanate for the international flights of more than eight  (8)  hours duration,  including transit,  and seventy-two (72) hours for shorter flights.
  • All passengers arriving at the  Sultanate without holding a  negative  COV1D-19  PCR  test in accordance with paragraph number  (4)  of this circular are subject to a COV1D-19 PCR test upon arrival where after the traveler shall be required to enter mandatory quarantine with an electronic tracking bracelet until a  negative  PCR  test results are received. However, in cases of a positive PCR test result,  the passenger shall be required to undergo mandatory health isolation for ten (10) days starting from the test date. Except that passengers who have recovered from  COVID-19  but tested positive on arrival are exempted from health isolation providing they are able to submit proof that they have completed the prescribed isolation period in the country where they were infected before traveling to the Sultanate.
  • Before boarding the aircraft,  all passengers arriving at the Sultanate,  including are required to complete pre-registration via  (Tarassud+)  Platform and to upload the vaccine certificate as well as the  COVID-19  PCR certificate,  both containing  QR  Codes.  If the passenger prefers to conduct the  COVID-19  PCR  test upon arrival, the passenger shall pay the prescribed fees when registering via the (Tarassud+)  platform before boarding the aircraft.
  • Arriving passengers aged  18  and below are exempted from the requirements of the vaccine and  COVID-19 PCR    Patients with diseases that prevent them from receiving the vaccine according to an approved medical certificate are also exempted from presenting vaccine certificates.
  • This decision is effective starting at 12:00pm (Oman local time) on Wednesday, 01” September 2021, except those Omani citizens and their families who departed the Sultanate before the issuance of this circular are exempted from the vaccine. requirement for a maximum of two (2) months before the issuance of this circular.

2. TRAVEL AND HEATH INSURANCE

Travel insurance covering death and treatment of covid19, in particular, is a must. All guests must share with us their travel and health insurance policy prior to arrival. 

 

3. ENHANCED TEMPERATURE SCREENING

Touchless temperature checks and continuous monitoring of guests and crew throughout the trip will help identify potential health issues, offering an additional layer of prevention and protection.

A healthy crew helps ensure healthy guests. We constantly monitoring of staff health includes temperature checks multiple times per day.

4. INCREASED CLEANING & DISINFECTION MEASURES

4.1 Cleaning & Disinfecting Vehicles and Buses

  • All vehicles and buses are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to every trip in accordance with company protocols.
  • Doors, seats, cupholders … etc. will be sanitized continuously, and, where possible, fogged before and after each rid including the use of electrostatic spray technology. Remember to take all of your belongings when you leave the bus/vehicle as it might go under disinfection process at any stop for a visit.
  • All travelers will be provided with a well-sealed plastic trash bag to keep their trash in and take it to the trash bin when they leave the vehicle/bus.

 

4.2 Disinfect the luggage

  • Although your luggage will be disinfected at airports and at arrival in hotels. Our staff will disinfect all the luggage before loading into our bus/vehicles.
  • The backpacks will be disinfected after every visit and they are not allowed in the passenger cabin, they should always stay in the bus luggage compartment or the trunk of the vehicle.
  • Luggage will be sealed in a disinfected plastic bag designed to fit the vehicle’s trunk and the bus luggage compartment.

 

4.3 Personal Hygiene

  • We provide hand soap and water in every bus/vehicle. All guests will be strongly encouraged to engage in frequent hand washing after every visit.
  • We will provide -on arrival in a disinfected bag- spray & gel sanitizers and masks.

5. RESPONSIBLE SOCIAL DISTANCING

 5.1 Reduced Capacity in Operations

  • To provide even more space for responsible social distancing, travelers’ capacity on vehicles/buses will be reduced to 30pax maximum per coach bus and 3 per vehicle.
  • All travelers will have a seat number and they are strictly required to get in and out in order and to ride in the same seat all the time.
  • All middle red crossed seats should be left empty in buses/vehicles -see the picture- the crossed seats will only use in conditions of couples, relatives or for any other reasons that we thought it’s ok.

5.2 Wireless Guiding Systems

We are using wireless guiding systems -when visiting sites like forts, souks…etc- to allow keeping the social distance as well as enhance the communication of the guide with the group.

6. LUGGAGE REGULATIONS

6.1 We accept the bellow luggage per person:

  • One well-sealed plastic suitcase per person -NO FABRIC – The dimensions below -including wheels- are important for us as our plastic bags for disinfection are designed to fit these dimensions.
  • One waterproof backpack -NO HANDBAGS-
